Can those two words even live in the same sentence together?! Do love and divorce co-exist? Of course they can. I’m living proof that you can be in the middle of a divorce and still love someone. After all, I’ve tried to divorce my husband three times, and if I’m really honest, even more than that in mind. Fortunately for both of us we’re still married. I want to start sharing with you why exactly we’re still married AND still be in love. Continue reading
Are you singing the song too?! It’s such a childlike song and so seemingly simplistic in it’s words. Yet if you’ve ever tried to trust and follow a particular path in life chances are you’ve gotten hung up or confused or become so frustrated you gave up. Often times following a path can mean following it in faith and not knowing what the end result looks like. Other times might be easier and you have a clear road ahead. All you have to do is follow the steps laid out in front of you. Continue reading
I had a specific topic in mind I wanted to talk about this week, yet as I was running this morning what kept popping in my mind was to talk about what happened this weekend, or better yet what didn’t happen. Our weekend was a simple reminder for me about being in faith and trusting the process. Continue reading
How can we weave more gratitude into our daily life? Dr. Christiane Northup recently finished up a year-long gratitude post on Instagram. Each day she recorded a 60 second clip on what she was grateful for that day. Some days were obvious items of gratitude, such a day full of sunshine, other days were not so obvious pieces. Continue reading
Over the last 12+ years I’ve learned the many meanings of the words surrender and faith. When I began learning how to surrender to a situation it felt incredibly scary. I’d had been used to being in control: controlling my situations, planning the outcomes, knowing what to expect.I had faith in myself to bring about what I wanted and I wasn’t crazy about the idea of relinquishing this control to someone other than me. Continue reading
For the last month and a half I’ve been re-reading A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson. The book is her understanding of A Course in Miracles, a written text on how we are each here to open up to love and the search for inner peace in every aspect of our life. Presently I’m reading about money and the bizarre category we’ve put it in. We have learned to push money aside, condemn it, curse it, love it but hate it, pronounce it evil yet greatly desire it, worship it, and overall not quite know what to do with it. I wanted to dig deeper into my own beliefs about money to see where I sat with all this. Continue reading
As I sat down to write this post I thought I knew exactly what I was going to write about…judgement and the way we hang out in it. But it felt so heavy. And I felt judgmental telling you how not to be judgmental. So with the anxiety of a deadline to publish a writing piece I asked the universe to show me the way. Continue reading
The words we speak are a powerful indicator of our internal landscape. They tell the story of who we are. They tell us and others around us how we perceive ourselves and how we perceive our life. Take notice of the words that come out of your mouth. Are they kind? Compassionate? Are they angry or resentful or mean? Are they positive or negative? Our words carry a vibration and energy with them that create our world. They create the life we lead, the friends we attract, the situations that come into our lives. Continue reading
I’m so glad you’re here. This is the place where I get to celebrate and share my love of learning and my desire to live a holistic life.
I love the mind body spirit connection. I believe our thoughts and beliefs create our reality; the words we speak become our life; the foods we eat reflect the health we experience. Our life is the direct expression of all that we choose.
